From June 19-23, 2023, members of the YO-MEDIA team participated in the conference Digital Games Research Association (DIGRA) that was held at the University of Seville where researchers, educators, game developers, and players among the DIGRA community discussed the limits and margins of games.
In addition to moderating the sessions Decolonization and Personal Touch, members of the YO-MEDIA team participated in the conference and the principal researcher of the project proposed the workshop ‘Game-It-Yourself in Healthcare: Implications for Teaching and Curriculum Design’ (https://digra2023.org/workshops) with the purpose of designing game teaching curricula that carefully ensures the learner’s preparedness for crisis scenarios. In order to establish a course curriculum, the workshop begins with the design of a tentative learning schedule given different healthcare scenarios to integrate in game-it-yourself activities, using personas of different stakeholders, role-playing strategies, and textual mazes.
