The YO MEDIA team from UVIC-UCC actively participated in ICON2023, the II INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS: EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE held in Alicante, Spain, from June 1 to 2, 2023. ICON-edu 2023 is an agora in which to reflect, analyse, expose, debate and share topics of interest on Education linked to any branches of knowledge.

Ruth Contreras delivered a compelling presentation titled “Digital Games to Identify and Combat Disinformation.” The presentation involved a thorough analysis of the mechanics and dynamics of games focused on media literacy, emphasizing their role in detecting and combating disinformation.

The audience comprised academics, Ph.D. students, educators in the fields of education, communication, e-learning, and innovation, as well as IT managers. The event successfully brought together over 300 participants, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration among professionals from diverse backgrounds.
